Hello!

Hello and welcome to my blog.
It's been a while. I stopped blogging because well I started to loose focus; I started my college course which I've now had too leave. Life in general has just been pretty hectic. I've bought some new products recently and was finding the urge too blog again; so I'm going too try and get back into it. I really enjoy sharing my opinions on things and actually really enjoyed this blog. I think the thing with beauty blogging is soooooo many people do it. You kinda think like what's the point when 100000 other people are doing the same thing and are 100x better. I deleted my Instagram app so I've been off that completely, I was planning on starting a YouTube channel but well getting the right setting and feeling confident enough for YouTube is quite a big deal!! For the mummy's & daddy's out there I'm also going to start doing more parenting blogs and maybe reviewing days out with kiddies :).
Anyway I'm going too love you and leave you until tomorrow where I'll put my first new blog post up ;)

Wish list!

Hello and welcome to my blog!!
I'm so sorry I've really been lacking in posts again - everything has been so hectic for me and I've kind of been loosing motivation.
I am planning to start a YouTube Chanel very soon and hopefully I'll prefer that!
I'm just working on a background and getting a tripod ect to film.
I have deleted my Instagram app but I will be back on there soon!!
Anyway enough rambling today's blog post is going to be my wish list!
There are so many great things coming out autumn/winter collections are looking pretty damn promising!!!
So let's be real here I have a John Lewis wish list consisting of 150 makeup products and I am not about too list them all! So I'm just going to do my top 5 most wanted at the moment.
1. Is a skin care product called glam glow super mud. This product is super pricey at £44.99 for 34g tub but it does look very promising! the description of it is -
'This amazing detoxifying mud mask is fantastic for fighting all common skin concerns, whilst helping to restore photo damaged skin and improve skin texture.
Glam Glow Super-Mud Clearing Treatment is the world’s first Clearing Treatment with a 6 acid blend - all perfectly ph balanced for mind-blowing faster results.
Helping de-clog to minimize pores; rejuvenate the skin, help pigmentation, moisture, stimulate collagen; help fine lines, wrinkles and ageing skin; scarring and fight breakouts, razor bumps and in-grown hairs.
Glam Glow Super-Mud Clearing Treatment can be used as a full mask for the entire face or simply as a one-spot wonder solution! With Super-Mud you can visibly see the congestion pull-out from your pores with the mask as it dries, giving immediate results in just one use.'

So yes a lot of promises there!! I have watched countless YouTube videos on this and I have to say it really seems too deliver great results and I cannot wait to get my hands on it!!

2. Mac stone lipstick - now I'm not sure if I've ever written about the fact I actually don't like Mac - I think they're an awful company and the products are way over hyped in my eyes they are drug store quality but I love the affordability of Mac and the colour range! The only products I own from Mac is 6 lipsticks and 3 fix+ sprays (and I only got them for the scent!). Anyway stone looks like the perfect 'me' colour it's different and it certainly makes a statement!
Stone is a matte finish which is my favourite Mac formula and is described as a 'muted greyish taupe brown'.

3. Is a lipstick from the upcoming ysl collection kiss & love - I don't actually own a ysl lipstick but I've always heard great things about them!
This collection is launching in the UK in November and it is to die for!!! I have to admit I'm a little peeved America have it before us πŸ˜’πŸ˜’ but that always seems to be the way! This collection has 4 lipstick colours and I actually have my eye on two one is a classic colour and the other is new for the collection they are -
19 Le Fuchsia (classic)
70 Le Nu (new colour)
These lipsticks are in the classic gold ysl packaging with a kiss print on both the box and the tube and kiss prints studded all over the actual lipstick!

3. Guerlain meteorites the neiges et merveilles. I don't actually own anything Guerlain and I've always lusted after some! These look so cute and Christmassy I love them!! I'm not  entirely sure when these come out but I'm guessing around Christmas time!

4. Tom ford lipstick in the shade violet fatale. I recently got my very first Tom ford lipstick (blush nude), and I am in LOVE these lipsticks have the most beautiful formula they glide onto the lips are just stunning the packaging is so nice and heavy it feels so classy in your hand. The only thing that disappointed me was how quickly the little 'tf' logo disappears but that's completely minor.

5. And last on my list is another lipstick!! The Louboutin lipstick like seriously who doesn't have this on their list right now???
I think it's available in 38 colours (I could be wrong) and is a huge £60!!! I think this is a really nice piece to have in you're collection especially if you are a Louboutin lover! But it is completely extravagant and non essential but hey that's me!!!
I'm wanting the colour Rouge in Matte I mean it's Louboutin it just has to be red!!!

And that's it for my 5 things but honestly I could go on forever!
I'm so sorry I've been so lacking in posts! If there's anything you'd like to see from me please let me know!
Have a lovely day x
Ps I apologise for the lack of pictures but since I own none of these products I feel a little strange stealing them from the net !

Becca opal

Hello and welcome to my blog!!! Now this is a review on a product I've lusted after for so long and I am so happy I finally have it!!!
I've written quite a few times that I am a sucker for packing and I just feel like I need to have a deep conversation with whoever created the packaging for becca - this is the only becca product I own so I don't know what the rest of their packaging is like but this is awful there is just no words for the packaging.
My first thought was that it looked like my old Nike Sony Walkman -
My sister thinks it looks like a UFO -
My boyfriend thinks it looks like a telletubbies nipple and I think he's on to something ....

C'mon becca this is not going to look nice anywhere!!!

As well as the design not being great I don't feel that the packing feels protective enough for such a delicate powder - the mirror in mine is loose and I can turn it all the way round and it just doesn't feel safe.
Now all that being said I LOVE this product, you know how I raved about Laura mercier face illuminator in indiscretion the other month well now I've moved on.
The formula is BEAUTIFUL so creamy and just gorgeous I suggest you make your way to space nk and swatch this product right now because you will not believe how beautiful it is.
This is a pure luxury product it is just stunning beyond belief.
It's one of those products I've seen used loads on YouTube but never really reviewed and talked about and I think that's because this product truly speaks for itself.
Here's a swatch 😍 (with flash)

It is so long lasting it actually lasted longer then my foundation the other day !!! And gives the most beautiful glow; I will never look back this highlighter will be in my collection FOREVER.
It's so blendable its to die for,
I am in love.
Honestly I don't feel I need to say much about this like I said it speaks for itself really and truly I am so excited to get moon stone and rose gold.
AND PLEASE BECCA WE NEED JACLYN HILL CHAMPAGNE POP IN THE UK BECAUSE THEM SHIPPING CHARGES ARE CRAYYYYYYYY
So that's all I have to say about this beautiful beautiful product I strongly recommend checking it out !!! Please be sure to subscribe and give me a follow on Instagram billiesbeautyinsta !!!
Also my partners sister has just set up a blog so please check her out http://jamiesbeauty101.blogspot.co.uk/?m=1 have a lovely day :)

July 2015 glossy box

Hello and welcome to my blog today is about glossy box, i didn't actually get round to posting about my last box so here's a picture of it

It was okay, I still haven't used most of the products I hated the lipstick nail varnish tattoos face wipes and face most so yeah definitely wasn't my favourite box !!! And neither was this one infact this has spurred me to end my subscription - I think I will still be getting next months box and then I'm going over to birch box.
The thing with subscription boxes is that they are never going to please everyone sometimes you're going to be disappointed sometimes you're going to be really impressed it is so hit and miss and I love that it allows me to try new products I wouldn't usually buy but I just feel that glossy box are going for a different target audience now I'd probably of loved this if I was about 14.
Anyway enough rambling onto this months box!!

So the theme of this box was Paris and it is a beautiful box glossy teamed up with artist Jamie Lee Reardin who I believe is an artist for Dior (I could be completely wrong). I had really high hopes for this box - having a Paris theme and being teamed up with such a well known artist I was expecting something really luxury and just amazing unfortunately I don't feel it was there is French products but certainly not anything I would call luxury. I have actually tried out all of the products so I will be giving mini reviews on them !!

1. Noxidoxi enhancing serum base full size £33.46 - let me tell you know I would not pay that. I can say if this product is bad or not because honestly I didn't have it on for long. I had a slight allergic reaction to this and had to wash it off almost straight away. I felt it was quite sticky to put on and once on it was just irritating my face my face is still super itchy now so this product is a deffo no no for me but that doesn't mean that it's a bad product.

2. Lollipops lip balm dΓ©liciuse full size £4.15 absolutely awful I may as well of been sliding a greasy chip on my lips I will say that it was quite moisturising but it just felt disgusting.

3. Teoxane Cosmeceuticals perfect skin refiner full size £70
We have a product I actually like!!! When I first put this on my face started tingling and I was like omgggggg please not another reaction but upon actually reading the description that is perfectly normal!! It's actually made my skin feel really nice and supple I will continue using this but I probably wouldn't purchase it because well I have a million face creams that do the same thing.

4. Yves Rocher comme und evidence eau de parfum full size £24.50 YUK why does glossy box love this brand so much ? Safe to say I am not a fan this perfume is disgusting I don't know who would possibly wear this but if you do I am judging you.

5. Glossy box exclusive travel pouch supposedly £3.99 it's cute but meh it will never be used by me I own ten million makeup bags much better then this one I do like the drawing though so yeah.

Anyway thank you for reading my super long blog !!! Let me know about any subscription boxes you have as I'm going to be doing some more eraser have before I decide on birch box !!  Have a lovely day don't forget to subscribe !!

Brush cleaning!!

Hello and welcome to my blog!!
I've been really behind with blogging lately I've felt pretty disheartened and been extremely busy!! But here I am and I intended to be able posting a lot more often.
As you may have read in one of my first posts I was applying too college to do access to midwifery and I did get in I'm off too enrol on Tuesday and I am so excited to start in September; now to find a decent nursery for my baby girl!!
So into the actual blog post now as you might be able to tell from the title and my previous Instagram post this blog entry is going to be all about how I clean my brushes.
I love nothing more then applying my makeup with clean brushes and it always seems too look 10x better when the brushes are clean (is that just me?), but I also hate washing and drying my brushes. It is the most boring thing in the world.
I wash all of my brushes once a week and give them a wipe over after every use. It's really important to keep your brushes clean to prevent breakouts it's also really important when washing brushes too not get the furrow wet as any water in there can unstick the glue and cause shedding or the brush to actually fall apart - as I have experienced.
I think brush cleansers are quite personal we all like different scents and ingredients but I do think brush cleansers are kind of a gimmick it is so simple and cost efficient to make them yourself so here is the ingredients to mine!! I mix this up in an old mini shower gel bottle.
1. Something antibacterial this is really important as obviously we need to kill the bacteria. This can be any thing from hand soap to face wash but not that antibacterial hand rub as you need something that's going to bubble. I use witch oil controlling face wash - my theory to this was if its good enough for my face must be good enough for my brushes since they go on my face? And yes turns out it is. I pour this rather then pump it as the pump causes foam and that's not what I want.
2. Something that smells nice and bubbles - My face wash doesn't have the nicest scent to it so again you can use anything shampoo shower gel anything I personally use either Aussie shampoo or body shop shower gel (the body shop ones are soap less and smell divine!!).
3. Something conditioning -
For this I either use olive oil, coconut oil (melted in the microwave first) or hair conditioner right now I am out of olive/coconut oil so I am going to use my Aussie hair conditioner.

And that is the mixture for my brush cleanser I shake this all together in its bottle and viola it's done.
Now for the actual washing of my brushes my best friend is an absolute gem and got me this great little brush egg I believe she paid 99p for it on eBay and it has literally cut my brush cleaning time in half. Kabuki brushes have always been my biggest hate but this thing makes it so so much easier I love it!!!

So with this I add a small amount of my brush cleaner swirl the brush into it rinse and repeat if necessary and it is that simple!!

Now I'm a little bit of a weirdo and I comb my makeup brushes and sometimes blow dry them πŸ™ˆ but if I don't have time to blow dry them I wrap them in tissue like a brush guard and place them on a flat surface or a folded towel. They usually dry over night and are ready too use in the morning!!
Thank you for reading today's post as always any feed back is always appreciated please subscribe and give my Instagram a follow billiesbeautyinsta

Laura mercier face illuminator indiscretion

Hello and welcome to my blog - I'm in love I have found the one. I've owned this product for about 5 hours after lusting after it for months it's everything I've ever wanted and more!!!
Look how beautiful it is oh my god.

So I've trawled the internet looking for reviews on this product and I haven't really found a lot about it from UK bloggers/youtubers which I was quite surprised about.
I'm sure most of you know about the brand Laura mercier, so I won't get into that.
This is my first Laura mercier product and I will deffo be purchasing more!!!
So firstly the packaging - I find this very meh it's almost quite cheap feeling I hate this gap it has which you can see the mirror through; I'm just really not huge on the packaging. It has quite a decent sized mirror inside but I rarely take highlighters out so I don't see mirror actually being used it feels slightly unnecessary.

The way the powder is pressed is STUNNING like holy macaroni that is gorgeous, it reminds me of sand at the bottom of the sea (not that I go there often).
The formula of this highlighter is lovely - it's nothing out of this world but it's lovely, it seems too apply really nice it's not overpowering it feels like a high end product - just to add that you do get 10 grams of product so there is quite a lot.

This also has the most beautiful colour I think it's very 'me', it's like a champagne rose gold and it is too die for, I'm a huge rose gold lover and I think this is going to look great next to benefit rockatuer blusher I can't wait to try it like that.
 (With flash and then without)

Overall I think this is a great product and I am in love - this is a limited edition which is annoying but I think I will be purchasing a backup!!! I think for me this is a must have product and when it's no longer sold I will pine for it and spend my life looking for a dupe (but not the Mac one, never the Mac one).
Right so that is it!!! If you have any questions about this product or anything else please do not hesitate too ask!! As always any feedback is appreciated, and I hope you have a wonderful day.
